Our Story

Expo Event Productions began with an entrepreneurial leap of faith.

In 1985, Mario and Connie Viramontes launched what would become one of the Central Valley's most recognized event production companies. What began in trade show décor grew into a full-scale event services company supporting corporate expos, weddings, festivals, and large public events throughout California.

Over the decades, Expo expanded into party rentals, tents, staging, and audio visual production—continually reinvesting in equipment, facilities, and people.

Today, we operate with a clear vision: one company, one team, one standard of excellence.

A New Chapter of Leadership

In 2024, long-time team member Jared Medaris acquired the company and now serves as Owner and CEO. After more than two decades inside the business, his transition was not an outside takeover—it was a continuation of hands-on leadership from someone who has worked in the warehouse, on delivery routes, in sales meetings, and behind thousands of events.

Jared is a Certified Event Rental Professional (CERP) through the American Rental Association and serves as Region 9 Director on the association's national board, representing California, Nevada, and Hawaii.

For him, rental is not just a business—it is a profession built on discipline, relationships, and accountability.

A Family-Led, Community-Rooted Company

Expo Event Productions is proudly based in Fresno, California.

Jared and his wife, Cody Medaris, were both born and raised in the Central Valley. Cody leads the company's marketing and brand direction. She holds a master's degree in Graphic Design and teaches at California State University, Fresno, and serves on the board of the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation.

Together, they combine operational discipline with creative vision—ensuring that Expo delivers not just equipment, but well-designed event experiences.
